Law firms

Less searching.
More law.

The Slovak Collection of Laws, case law of the three highest Slovak courts and your firm's case files in a single question. Every answer gives the section, the case number and the source it rests on. The whole system runs on a server in your office and answers only from what it found. Legal sources cover Slovak law; your own archive can be in any language.

Legal sources

Collection of Laws and case law of three courts, updated every day

Today a lawyer opens three portals with three different search engines and retypes the results into a submission by hand. Here it is one question in one interface, together with the firm's case files.

Today

Three portals, three searches

  • The version of a statute as of a date is looked up in the version history on Slov-Lex
  • Decisions of the Supreme Court, Supreme Administrative Court and Constitutional Court sit on three websites with different search engines
  • The firm's own submissions on the same question are searched separately in case file folders
  • Sections and case numbers are retyped into the submission by hand

With Arminius Legal

One question, an answer with sources

  • The wording of a provision as of the requested effective date, directly in the answer
  • Decisions of three courts in one result, with the option to limit court and period
  • The firm's submissions on the same question in the same result
  • Sections and case numbers in the answer are verified against the sources found
Slovak Collection of Laws

Statutes with every version

18,184 statutes in 52,912 versions since 1990. The exact wording of a provision by section, paragraph and letter as of the requested effective date, or a search for provisions on a legal question without knowing the section. Citations give the statute, its effective period and a link to Slov-Lex.

Case law

Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic

106,340 decisions, since 2001. Older years from PDF with local transcription. Results include the case number, date, an excerpt from the reasoning, the headnote where the court published one, and a link to the decision.

Case law

Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic

8,017 decisions, since the court was established in 2021. Each decision comes with the court's list of affected provisions. Results include the case number, ECLI, date, an excerpt from the reasoning and the headnote where the court gave one. The court's portal provides no permanent link, so the text is stored in the firm's database.

Case law

Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic

53,496 decisions, complete archive. Results include the case number, date, an excerpt from the reasoning, the headnote and a link to the decision.

Version as of a date

The statute as it applied back then

For a dispute from 2019 you need the wording in force in 2019, not today's. The system returns the provision as of the requested date and states from when to when it applied.

Case law for a section

Decisions that actually cite the provision

Section citations in the text of decisions are linked to statutes in the database. Enter a provision and you get the decisions that work with it, not just texts with similar words.

Together with case files

Law and your own practice in one result

For the same question the system also finds submissions and opinions the firm wrote in the past. The lawyer sees the statute, the decisions and their own precedent side by side.

Decisions of regional and district courts are not yet included. Sources cover Slovak law; other jurisdictions are not yet part of the product.

Verifiability

Every answer says
what it rests on.

Under every answer the source is listed: a statutory provision, a court decision, a file from the archive or the transcript of an attached document. If the system found no source, it does not generate the document. An answer without a source is produced only on explicit request and is marked as such in the chat and in the output document.

Sections and case numbers in the answer text are compared with what the search actually returned. A mismatch is flagged and logged. The Sources block contains only the documents the answer used, and the system does not let the model write it on its own.

A cited file from the archive opens with one click directly in Word or Excel from the firm's server.

What is the limitation period for a claim for damages and what did we write about it in our submissions?
A claim for damages becomes time-barred two years from the day the injured party learns of the damage and of who is liable for it (§ 106(1) of Act No. 40/1964 Coll., version effective as of 24 Sept 2026). The firm raised this objection in the statement of defence in case file 2024/118, where ...

Three courts in one result

Section, decisions
and your own precedent side by side.

For a query on a provision the system finds the decisions of the Supreme Court, Supreme Administrative Court and Constitutional Court that cite it, ranks them by relevance and gives the case number, date and an excerpt from the reasoning for each. Court and period can be limited.

The headnote is shown where the court published one, with its origin stated. The answer never contains a case number the search did not return.

Working with case files and documents

What the system does for your firm every day

Firm archive

The entire document archive on the firm's server, including scanned PDFs and older Word formats, is searchable from one place. The client/case structure stays the one you work in. A query such as "find the contract for work with this company" or "what did we write in the appeal for this client" returns specific files with their paths.

Documents from your own precedents

The system picks a suitable precedent from the archive, keeps its wording, header and footer and fills in the data from the brief. The output is a Word document stating which template it came from. Data of the wrong type, such as a company name in the e-mail field, never makes it into the document.

Your own document and scans

Attach a contract, a submission or a photo of a document and ask directly about its content. Scanned PDFs and images are transcribed locally; the transcript stays in the conversation for further questions. Contract analysis works over the attached text and every conclusion is backed by a quote from the document.

Time recording

A time recording portal with the same sign-in as the chat. Quick entry of an item, pasting finished text from Excel or Word with a check that no minute is missing or added, month-end close and client reports in the form they are used to.

Citation check

Every section and every case number in the answer is compared with what the search actually returned. If they do not match, the answer gets a visible warning and the event is logged. The lawyer sees what is backed up and what is not.

How you work

Three modes in one interface

At the start of a conversation the lawyer chooses what to work with. The interface is in Slovak, the model answers in Slovak and handles Czech, English and German materials as well.

Legal

Assistant with access to sources

Collection of Laws, case law, the firm archive and drafting a document from a template. It answers exclusively from what it found in these sources. If the brief is ambiguous, it asks a clarifying question.

AI

General assistant

Direct work with the model without access to the archive. Quick questions, translations, a summary or analysis of an attached document, transcription of a screenshot or photo.

AI (thinking)

Deeper analysis

The same assistant, which reads the whole document before answering and compares individual provisions with each other. Suited to analysing contracts and longer texts. An answer takes several minutes.

In practice

What lawyers use most

Open the source

From the citation straight into Word

Every cited document from the archive is a link. One click opens it in Word or Excel from the firm's server, with no searching through folders.

A specific file

Working on a single document

Load a document from the archive by name or path and work with its full text: summary, questions, data extraction, with a link to the file.

Output to Word

The answer as a document

Convert a finished chat answer into a .docx file without changing a single word. Documents from templates come back in Word format with their origin stated in the footer.

Scans and photos

Transcription without sending anything out

Scanned PDFs from the archive are transcribed during indexing. A photo or screenshot of a document attached in the chat is read by the model and the transcript kept for further questions. All on the firm's server.

Clarifying question

When the brief is not clear

If it is not clear from the query which client, which statute or which period is meant, the system asks before it starts searching. The lawyer gets an answer to what they meant, not to what could be guessed.

Client reports

Time recording with month-end close

Items for the month, billing decisions, a client register with duplicate merging and client reports from the firm's template. Excel exports per lawyer or per client, or all at once.

Attorney-client privilege

Confidentiality by
architecture, not by contract.

The language model, the database and the archive index run on one appliance in your company. No provider and no third-party interface takes part in processing. Neither the firm's documents nor the lawyers' questions ever leave the server.

The only outbound connection serves the daily download of public statutes and court decisions. Only a request for a public document goes that way, never the firm's data.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Arminius Legal

Which law does Arminius Legal cover?

Slovak law: the Slovak Collection of Laws (18,184 acts in all their versions since 1990) and case law of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic since 2001, the Supreme Administrative Court since 2021 and the Constitutional Court in its complete archive, 167,000+ decisions in total. Regional and district court decisions and Czech law are not included yet.

How often are the legal sources updated?

Daily. The appliance downloads amendments and new decisions of all three courts every day; only a request for a public document goes out, never the firm's data.

Can it find the version of a statute in force on a given date?

Yes. For a question with a date it returns the provision as in force on that day, states when that version was valid and links to Slov-Lex.

Does Arminius Legal work with our firm's case files?

Yes. The archive on the firm's server is connected read-only, including scanned PDFs and older Word formats. The client and case file structure stays as it is, and a cited file opens with one click.

Can it draft a document?

Yes, from your firm's own precedents: it keeps the wording, header and footer, fills in the details from the brief and produces a Word document stating which precedent it came from.

Does Arminius Legal replace a lawyer?

No. It finds legislation, court decisions and the firm's own submissions and analyses an attached contract with quotations and references to legislation. The conclusion and responsibility remain with the lawyer.

How is attorney-client privilege protected?

Everything runs on the appliance in the firm: no provider or third-party interface is involved in processing, and documents, questions and answers never leave the server.
